For Mac
A teleprompter for Mac that sits right under your camera
OwlPrompter for Mac is the same app as on iPhone and iPad, for macOS 15 or later. Its floating prompter window stays on top of other apps just under the camera, so you can read while you present in Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, OBS or QuickTime — and you can record yourself straight from the app.

A prompter that floats over your call
Open the floating prompter and it becomes a borderless window that stays on top of every other app, anchored under the camera. Your eyes stay near the lens while the call, the slides or OBS run underneath. It scrolls at the words per minute you set, and play, pause and restart stay in step with the main window.
- Stays on top of other apps

Record yourself from the Mac
Film with your Mac’s camera from the prompter, pause and resume the take, and save it to Files from the standard save panel or a right-click on the recording. A Delivery Score report opens after the take.
- Camera recording with pause and resume
- Save takes to Files
- Delivery Score report after a take
One purchase for iPhone, iPad and Mac
The Mac app is the same App Store app as on iPhone and iPad, so one subscription covers all three on the same Apple Account. (The AI features are on iPhone and iPad, not on the Mac.) The free tier works on the Mac too: up to 3 scripts, no watermark.
Questions
Which macOS version does it need?
macOS 15 or later. It is on the Mac App Store as part of the same app as on iPhone and iPad.
Does the floating prompter follow my voice?
No. The floating window scrolls at the words per minute you set, so it can sit over any app. Set the pace before you start; play, pause and restart follow the main window.
Do I have to buy Pro again for the Mac?
No. It is one App Store app with universal purchase: Pro bought on iPhone or iPad unlocks the Mac too, on the same Apple Account.
What about Windows and Chromebook?
OwlPrompter has no app for them. On Windows or a Chromebook, the free online teleprompter runs in your browser and can record you with your webcam.
