BIGVU alternatives: 6 teleprompter apps and how they differ

BIGVU sells Starter and Pro subscriptions on the US App Store (checked 19 September 2026). The alternatives below differ mostly in what they focus on and how they are sold: several say their scroll follows your voice, one runs in a floating window on Android, and some have a free option or a one-time purchase. We make OwlPrompter, so it comes first and is marked as ours; everything about the others comes from their own listings.

If captions are why you use BIGVU: OwlPrompter burns captions into the video (Pro) and writes an .srt with every take. If it is the “AI eye contact fix”: OwlPrompter now has AI eye contact too (iPhone and iPad, OwlPrompter AI), which corrects your gaze after you record, and its eye-contact mode holds the scroll while you turn away during the take.
